Ernest P Miller was born in Goessel, Kansas on February 20, 1942. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1960; Fort Hays State University BA Political Science in 1964, Troy State University MS Business Management in 1978.

Ernie was a Junior High and High School educator in Kansas and with the Department of Defense at Aviano, Italy AFB.

Ernie is a Senior DeMolay from Liberal serving as Master Councilor in 1959 and was awarded the Blue Honor Key in 1960.

His Symbolic Lodge membership includes: Fargo #300 in 1970; Master Aviano, Grand Orient of Italy in 1984, 1985; Master of Fargo #300 in 2001 and District Deputy Grand Master in 1999 and 2000.

His York Rite membership includes Heidelberg RAM #5, 1987; Liberal RAM #65 serving as High Priest in 1999, Heidelberg Council #2, 1987, Liberal Council #5 serving as Illustrious Master in 2001; Heidelberg Commandery #2 in 1987, Liberal Commandery #55 as was Commander in 2001. He transferred to the York Rite Bodies of Liberal in 1995.

In the York Rite Bodies of Liberal, Ernie has served as Treasurer 2002-2007; Secretary 2008 and is still serving this position. KYCH, Prioroy #33 in 2002; Allied Masonic Degrees, Great Plains Council #300, 1999; Sovereign Master in 2005; Red Cross of Constantine All Saints Conclave in 2002; Sovereign in 2003, Secretary from 2004 and is still serving this position. Also is a Philalethes Life Member and president of the Order of High Priesthood in 2009.

In Scottish Rite, Ernie belonged to Frankfort in 1985 and transferred to the Valley of Wichita in 1995. He holds KCCH receiving that in 2003, Scottish Rite Research Society Life Member, and Southwest Kansas Scottish Rite Club President in 2006.

Ernie’s Shrine membership includes Desert of Europe (NATO) in 1985 and transferred to Midian in 1995. He is a member of the Southwest Shrine Club serving as Secretary from 19696-2002. He became Treasurer in 1996 and is still serving in that position.
